Sayde is so in love with Snow White these days. So of course, she had to be Snow White herself (thank you Nana for the costume). Well, Snow White needs a prince right?? So who better than to play that role than daddy!!! This year our church helped host a Halloween party at a popular park in the area and Joey felt he needed to dress up as well!! So, Cindy (Joey's mom) and I literally whipped this costume up in a matter of an hour. We searched closets and such to put together
the prefect prince charming costume!!! Don't they look super cute!! I think so!!

Today we celebrated our last "Family Day" as a family of 3. We headed to our favorite park in the morning and then later in the day we went to a yummy cupcake shop in our neighborhood. EllaKade will be here Lord willing next Saturday, October 15 (I have a scheduled c-section). Oh how we can't wait to meet her, however it is crazy to think that we will no longer be a family of 3. Thank you Lord for giving us this blessing, this gift!!! I can't wait for Sayde to meet her new baby sister.

Apple Picking

We had a fun filled morning with our friend Avery at the Homestead Farm. We decided to go apple picking (it was my first time). Oh how I love me some apples!! It was so much fun to pick the apples right off the tree and sample them. Delicious!!! I just love Fall Time. It is truly my favorite season!!! The coolness in the air, apple and pumpkin picking, smells of wood burning and so much more.

Oh how my heart is overjoyed and blown away by the love shown to me and EllaKade. A couple of Saturday's ago, the Ladies of Restoration Church (Andi, Lorraine, Lynn and Laurie) host a shower for me. It was such a sweet time. The last picture is priceless to me. The ladies prayed over me and EllaKade. Praying for her birth, but most importantly praying for her rebirth one day. Praying that EllaKade would see that she is a sinner in need of a Savior, that Savior is Jesus Christ. I am praising the Lord for such wonderful women in my life!!!

Sayde finally did it.... She went #2 in the potty!!! She has been potty training since about May, however she would not go #2. She would come to me and ask for a diaper. Well then yesterday she said, "uh oh, got to go, " so immediately I put her on the potty and she did it. I was so excited!!! Made a big deal about it!!! Then today, same thing. So for 2 days in a row, we had to do something special for the Big Girl, so we went to get cupcakes!!! Sayde loves cupcakes and can polish off one with ease. She loved it!! I am so proud of my little girl. I pray that it continues!!!

So we are only 6 weeks away until EllaKade will arrive. While my mom and Cindy were here a few weeks ago, we got EllaKade's nursery all ready. Sayde will share a room with her new sister. Not so sure how soon I will attempt putting them in the room together, but sooner or later it will happen. Sayde got a new BIG GIRL comforter for her new BIG GIRL bed (thank you Nana). EllaKade will use the bedding that Sayde did, we freshened it up and added new ribbon on the ties. Thank you mom and Cindy for all your help getting the girls room ready!! We can't wait to meet Miss EllaKade. Sayde ask every day, "Mom is EllaKade here yet?" Too cute!

Restoration Church's first card making event!!! Last night a large number of gals from RC came over to Sweet Lorraine's house for the first card making event. Boy, was it so much fun. You must know that Lorraine is the card making queen. She had everything all organized for us to make 6 cards during our evening event. I look forward to doing it again!!!

Surprise!! Once we got back from airport to pickup Nana and GiGi, we had a dozen yummy Georgetown Cupcakes delivered to our door. Oh thank you Sarah and Ryan for thinking of us while we enjoyed time with our moms!!! The cupcakes were such a nice treat--- Sayde LOVED them!!! Thank you!!

Taking Care of Daddy

So this month it has been crazy in the Craft home. My poor hubby tore his Achilles Tendon and had to have surgery on it. The recovery is a long road. He will not be able to bare any weight on his right leg for a good 7 to 8 weeks (right before EllaKade arrives). Poor thing. Last week, we were stuck inside playing nurse to daddy!!! Even though this really stinks, God has graciously allowed our church family to step up and serve us oh so well. I can't say enough thank yous for all they have done. From play dates for Sayde each morning, to home-cooked meals, to emails, texts, phone calls, to even changing our cat litter!!!! Wow!! How humbling!!! Thank you RC for loving on us so well. We give God praise for you!!

Joey, along with 13 others from Restoration Church recently took a mission trip to Haiti. During the trip they were able to care for and love on orphans, train pastors, and share the gospel with dozens. Words are not enough to begin to capture how life changing this trip was. Okay we have started potty training and with that comes special rewards for tee-teeing in the potty. So we devised a plan that if Sayde went 10 times in potty she would get her very own princess backpack! And she did it!! As you can see I think that GiGi was more excited than Sayde!

This year was our first RC woman's retreat. We went to Williamsburg, VA and had a great time. We stayed in wonderful connecting houses, which felt like we had a an east and west wing, it was great (thank you Laurie for the hook-up). Brandi and Michelle lead the 2 sessions. They did a fabulous job, thank you ladies. It was a weekend of female bonding, studying God's Word, mediation and solitude.
I am so looking forward to next year and doing this again.

Page's Baptism

Many of you may have seen the latest Restoration Church update video and asked yourself, "Why is Page getting baptized?" Well read below and you'll see how all this came together...

Over a period of years God has stirred greatly in my heart. At the age of 12 years old I made a profession of faith and just a few weeks later I was baptized. My life was not much different than before. Jesus was simply my ticket to heaven. Earthly desires continued to be more appealing. Throughout High School and College I lived for myself, for Page. It was not until about 6 or so years ago that my life drastically changed. My head knowledge turned into heart knowledge. I genuinely understood the Gospel and the cost. I made my Heavenly Father the Lord of my life. It has taken me many years to realize that I most likely didn’t have a true heart change at 12 years old. So I am getting baptized out of complete obedience to my God. I come professing that Jesus Christ bore God’s wrath for me, my sinful heart. That he rose again on the third day for me, that he has given my spiritual dead body new eternal life. Because of all this I get a genuine true relationship with God. Thank you God for your abundant grace!!

So each month Andi and I try to coordinate something fun to do for the gals of Restoration Church. For the month of January, we decided to do a "Trash To Treasure" Party. What you do is donate things (clothes, shoes, jewelry, scarves, makeup,etc.) that you are willing to part with, then you display all the goodies that have been donated from each lady and let the FREE shopping begin. We had a blast hanging out, trying on things, and getting all of them for FREE!!! You all know that I just love a bargain.

Last weekend, we (Andi and myself) got the opportunity to tag along with our men to Wake Forest. It was a wonderful and encouraging trip for us. The men went to a conference at Southeastern and us ladies hung out and soaked up time together. We had a blast.

Joey and I just celebrated 7 years of marriage. We had a fabulous date night. Below is a picture of delicious dark chocolate, flowers and a heart felt cards from Joey and Sayde. What more could a girl ask for!! I love you dearly Joey. Thank you so much for loving and serving me well through the years. I am so thankful that you are the spiritual leader of our household. May we strive to live out Ephesian 5:22-33.

We had the grand idea to go to Georgetown Cupcakes for dessert, well we were not the only ones who wanted to do this. The line was literally up the street. CRAZY!! So we decide to catch the bus and go to a local cupcake shop near us. It was great, intimate and just a walk away from home ; )) We will try Georgetown Cupcakes another time!!!

While Brooklyn and Jamie were here, we took a morning and went to a new Play Museum in the area. Each room had a different theme. One room was a workshop, grocery, beauty salon, kitchen, fire station, etc. The girls had loads of fun!

Sayde loved touching the animals. She kept going back to this room.

While my mom was in town we got to hang out with a dear friend in the area. Sayde loves Sarah. We had a great dinner at a Mexican restaurant. As you can see, Sayde loved it!!

Just the other week, we got the awesome privilege to have David, Jamie and Brooklyn visit us for a week. It was loads of fun. Sayde thought she too was 3 years old like Brooklyn. It was so amazing to see them play with one another so well. Here are the gals on our way home from church on the 4th of July!!

We have been super blessed with lots of June visitors. It has been wonderful to have family come and visit us. Joey parents came a few weeks ago. Sayde loved seating in her Gigi's lap and reading books.

Our sweet friends Johnathan and Tara had a going away party a few weeks ago. They are moving to Ukraine for 2 years. It is sad to say goodbye to them, however it has been so amazing to watch them grow in their faith and trust in the Lord. We love you and miss you greatly!!!

The other night we were at the Gap Outlet in Downtown Alexandria, and Sayde decided to do a little posing in the front window. It was so precious to watch her. The people passing by would stop, stare, wave, laugh, even take pictures of her. She was hamming it up. I had to get a picture of my model diva!!! So Gap if you need a real live model, Sayde is willing and ready.
